The Videographer Awards is an international awards program directed by communication professionals to honor talented individuals and companies in the video production field. Entrants include video production companies, advertising and public relations firms, corporate communication departments, cable and broadcast television operations, government agencies and schools, independent producers and wedding and special event producers. Past winners have come from all 50 states and numerous countries.
The Videographer Awards is designed to identify communication professionals who are raising the standards of the industry and to give winners and their clients the recognition that the work they are producing is outstanding and highly regarded by their peers. The competition provides an equal chance of winning to all entrants, regardless of size and budget. Since there are no lengthy essays to accompany the entry, all work will be judged solely on its own quality, creativity and resourcefulness.
Each entry will be carefully scrutinized and evaluated by award-winning professionals. Entries will be judged against a high standard of excellence rather than against each other.
Judges have been chosen based on their extensive experience and proven creativity in the video field. The Videographer Award of Excellence is given to those entries whose ability to capture the event or communicate the message is exceptional. The Award of Distinction is presented for projects that are outstanding, while Honorable Mention is awarded to projects that exceed industry standards.
All Excellence, Distinction and Honorable Mention winners will receive a certificate at no cost. Excellence and Distinction winners are eligible to purchase the acrylic clapboard award to commemorate their achievement.
The Videographer Awards keeps its entry fees low by not making all entrants subsidize awards won by others. Consequently, Excellence and Distinction Award winners will be charged $150 if they wish to have a personalized handcrafted 8X8 inch acrylic clapboard award. Each award is custom lasered with the winner's name and entry title. Extra certificates and awards are available at an additional cost.
To be eligible for a Videographer Award, each entry must have been produced after January 1, 2006 to current date. (Two year window)
Entries can be VHS, BetaSp, DVD or CD (windows format). Entries in PAL or SECAM must be submitted on VHS only. Please submit each entry on a separate tape or disk, however multiple commericals may be on one tape or disk. If a piece is entered in more than one category, only one tape or disk is necessary. Please enclose an additional entry fee for each time it is entered. If you want to be notified when your entry is received, attach a stamped, self-addressed postcard. Entries will not be returned.
The Videographer Awards respects the proprietary nature of your information. Therefore entries are seen only by the judges and each entry is destroyed before disposal.
